Donate Money

 

If you are interested in making a monetary donation to Clara’s Closet, which will be used to purchase baby boxes, diapers, clothing, books and toys for local at-risk families, please e-mail us at sherri@clarascloset.org and we will happily send you a donation form. Because our family has generously donated storage space and other support, we operate with no overhead. This means that 100% of our donated funds and items go directly to families with acute need. Our small staff is 100% volunteer with no salaries drawn at any time.

• $10 – buys enough flannel for five receiving blankets, bibs and burp cloths

• $25 – fills a Baby Box with body and bath care items, blanket and basic sleepwear

• $50 – provides baby wash, wipes, a quilt, and 5 packages of diapers

• $75 – provides clothing, diapers, formula, baby hygiene products, blanket and a soft toy

• $100 – provides a safe, isolated sleeping area to prevent the dangerous practice of co-sleeping with a newborn baby

• $500 – provides 5 newborn babies with all the basic essentials they need to have a safe, secure start and a safe place to sleep

Before You Donate, Please…



• Review the list of items we accept.

• Make sure clothing has been washed. (We only accept items that are free of stains and in great condition. Please donate items you would be happy to receive yourself or pass along to a family member or close friend.)

• Pack goods in heavy-duty garbage bags or sturdy boxes.

​

• Determine the estimated value of your donation for tax purposes. Donation value is generally 50% of retail cost.

​

• For safety reasons, the goods we receive need to be in working order; we have a very small staff and are unable to repair faulty or damaged items.
